STEVENS POINT – Aspirus Health Foundation is investing in oral health services in Stevens Point.

Aspirus Health announced July 9 the Aspirus Health Foundation committed $500,000 over the next three years to support Noble Community Clinics expanding its oral health services in Stevens Point. The money is from donor-restricted gifts to the foundation to address oral health needs in Portage County and will help Noble equip 15 new dental operatories within its expanded dental facility.

The expansion will more than double Noble’s capacity to provide dental care in the Stevens Point area. The clinic expects to serve 15,000 patients annually, with 75% receiving dental services. According to the Aspirus release, 80% of Noble’s dental patients are Medicaid recipients and an additional 20% are underinsured or uninsured.

Noble’s dental services offer preventative, restorative and emergency dental care. The new dental facility includes 21 treatment rooms, including pediatric and special needs operatories, imaging and sterilization rooms and support spaces. According to Noble Community Clinics’ website, the newest clinic opened July 15 at 2501 Main St. in Stevens Point.

Carrie Penovich, the Wisconsin Southeast Division President of Aspirus Health, said the partnership demonstrates the mission Aspirus and Noble share to heal people, promote health and strengthen communities.

“By helping to equip this state-of-the-art facility, we’re ensuring thousands of individuals and families in our region receive the compassionate, high-quality dental care they deserve,” Penovich said.

Laura Waldvogel, Noble Community Clinics’ CEO, said the investment from Aspirus will be transformative for the area.

“Access to dental care is one of the most significant unmet health needs in our community and this extraordinary gift directly supports our mission to care for those who often face the greatest barriers to oral health,” Waldvogel said. “With Aspirus’s support, we are expanding critical services and removing obstacles that have kept too many families from getting the care they need.”
